Information on public events for our 2026–2027 performance season.
The Beantown Swing Orchestra performs at public venues throughout the Northeastern United States, including outdoor summer concert series, music festivals, and indoor swing dances. Our 2026–2027 schedule features frequent appearances across Greater Boston and Massachusetts (MA). Check our live performance calendar above for specific dates, ticket links, and venue directions.
The Beantown Swing Orchestra specializes in classic big band hits from the 1930s and 1940s. By performing on vintage instruments from the era, our 18-piece orchestra achieves a lush, authentic sound that brings the Swing Era back to life with youthful energy.
Yes. Beantown Swing Orchestra performances have a multi-generational appeal perfect for families. While children and teens are captivated by the high-energy sound, older fans enjoy a nostalgic trip back to the music they grew up with. Our outdoor community shows provide an inclusive environment for all ages to enjoy live music and dancing.
Absolutely not. We encourage guests to dance in any style they find comfortable or simply enjoy the music from their seats. That said, select shows and most dances feature a professional swing dance instructor who leads a beginner group lesson before the orchestra begins.
Most attendees wear casual clothes, though we always welcome vintage 1940s attire to match the music! For outdoor concerts, we recommend comfortable shoes suitable for dancing on grass or pavement.
