The 18-piece Beantown Swing Orchestra, featuring American Idol finalist John Stevens, NYC jazz vocalist Laura Brunner, and (when available) American Idol contestant Jen Hirsh, is perfect for classy weddings and galas – see for yourself in the video compilation below.
Encompassing almost a century of great music, the band’s repertoire caters to all generations, all performed in the big band style:
- Swing Era, Great Gadsby—classic big band hits from the 1930s and 1940s
- Rat Pack—authentic Sinatra arrangements from the 1950s and 1960s
- Classic R&B, rock and roll, and doo-wop from the 1950s and 1960s
- Popular songs (including showtunes and movie themes) to the present
For specific themed events, available options include:
- 4- to 18-piece string section
- period tuxedos with two-tone shoes for men, vintage-style dresses and hairdos for women
- Lindy Hop swing dance instructors
